Everything in the garden is coming up roses

Sheila, who is one of our clients and is also a highly valued telephone befriender volunteer, has recently moved flat and has inherited a garden in need of some loving care. As Sheila uses a wheelchair it is difficult for her to do much of the heavy work in the garden so a team of our green-fingered volunteers spent some time transforming the look and it is a great success. Not only is Sheila very happy with the result and grateful for the volunteers’ creative efforts but the garden is bringing out many of the other residents to admire it. Sheila now feels more connected to her neighbours, who have agreed to help her keep the garden watered.
