Skydiving Fundraising
In July Jay Torani, the 16 year old cousin of one of our long term volunteers,
decided he would like to do a skydive.
He successfully achieved his ambition, very kindly raising funds for FCV Dorcas for which we are very grateful.
We asked about his experience:
Why did you choose FCV as your charity?
‘I have lived in Islington for two years and FCV is a charity close to my heart. My cousin has been with them for 11 years and initially involved me starting as a volunteer.’
How did the sky dive go?
‘The sky dive was incredible. To say I was terrified is an understatement when all kitted up and walking to the plane. I felt numb.’
What is your most memorable part of the day?
‘The most memorable part of the day was when I had control of the parachute spinning around in circles. I would love to do something like this again.’

How much did you raise?
‘I managed to raise an impressive £820 that FCV really needed and were so thankful.’
What is next for Jay?
‘Well I don’t have anything in the pipeline yet. I’d like to focus on my studies doing forensics and criminology at college. All I can say is watch this space.’
